While in the midst of a wild couple of days involving the NHL trade deadline, I just want to drop a quick note regarding a couple of Bills' headlines.
Late yesterday evening Buffalo announced the signing of former Jaguars/Chargers cornerback Drayton Florence to a 2-year, $6.6-million deal that could surpass $7-million in incentives. With Greer having officially landed in New Orleans, the Bills were in need of another veteran presence in the defensive backfield, and Florence easily fits the bill at a presumably better rate.
Laveranues Coles has opted to sign with the late charging Bengals after it appeared that the Bills were the only remaining team left on the receiver's list of potential suitors. The news was somewhat disheartening until I saw the terms of the deal; 4-years at $28-million.
The Bills also entertained a number of visitors this morning and afternoon at One Bills Drive, with the likes of RB Kevin Jones, RB DeShaun Foster and LB Cato June taking a look at what Buffalo may have to offer.
That's all for now, but stay tuned for any further updates, and as always…
