Blackhawks Down?

Press the panic button Blackhawk fans our team has hit the wall, winless it what seems like forever the team cannot find away to win losing close games to Jersey, Columbus and getting blown out by the Islanders at home. If this team believes they have already made the playoffs  they should honestly think twice before RSVP to the their 4th seed invitation as they are only 9 points up on 10th place.

One plus is that we are finally going to see Sammy Pahlsson in action after sepnding the entire time since his aquisition on the IR acquired inthe WORST deadline deal of the year, he better prove to be effective or this should cost Dale Tallon his job… Certainly others were available for less, think Vermette or Moore then imagine this team.

The positive in this deal is that James was dealt and the decision really came down to Wiz or Barks and Cam Barker now has an amazing 37 points in 56 games and has been hot without James Wisniewski and the move will free up the cap space to keep Cam in Chicago.

What's Going Wrong?

Defensively something is off, it is as if someone broke Brian Campbell… Personally responsible positionally for two key goals against last game he is currently the Blackhawks worst defenseman, If I had to count the times he was out of position in the last five games it would match the number on Brian's back.

Youth are getting Restless?

Coach Quenneville says it best “The confidence is a little bit off,” he said. “We stemmed a little bit of the flow going against us. [But] we've got to [start] winning and feeling a little more confident at critical times of games.”  Maybe people are expecting to much? or maybe the departure of Wiz a locker room leader has really hurt the team? What ever it is we went from the third best team in the Western Conference to where I dunno sixth, seventh seemingly at the deadline, the move we made has done nothing so far but to hurt this team and with Sammy getting set to play his first game as a Blackhawk I just don't see him as the one to help them turn it around.

So at this point not only should the Hawks fans be nervous but so should Dale as yet his deadline deal has been a deadline dud and for a guy who said repeadetly he did not want to mess with his chemistry and would not take a rental player…
