With the Champagne just drying up from Brodeur's record setting 552 win and a trip to Carolina, Martin Brodeur returns home to take on the Minnesota Wild in Shutout fashion.

The Celebrating had just ended from Martin Brodeur's Historical Night in Newark. The Devils were forced to go to Raleigh to take on the hungry and rested Carolina Hurricaines and were beaten. So they returned home to the Prudential Center to take on their former coach Jacques Lemaire and the Minnesota Wild. Martin Brodeur returns to the net and what does he do??? HE SHUTS THEM OUT! and now project Sawchuk 104 is well underway in the New Jersey Devils minds and the fans hearts.

Martin Brodeur has truly been an Phenom this season and has helped to take away attention from the Devils as this team has been playing solid all season long.  He has now won 9-10 since his return from missing over 40 games due to his elbow injury. The Devils have now rolled off 11 in a row at home a franchise record and all 4 lines are effectively contributing to their success. Team MVP Zach Parise picked up another 2 points in the win and will look to make a BIG SPLASH in the playoffs for the rest of the league to take notice. With all talk being on Malkin, Crosby and Ovechkin, Parise should be mentioned in the same sentences as he has a balanced attack with nearly matching his assists with his goals all season long and if you watch him will agree that he is truly the most HARD working goal scorer in the league.

The suddenly not so mighty Boston Bruins are on deck 3pm on Sunday in a fierce battle that can go a long way in deciding 1st overall in the Conference. The Bruins truly have not had anything to play for of late and this could be just what they need to get rolling. Brodeur will ride his 101st shutout into this match up!
