Good For Gerber

Not that I condone violence towards officials. But hell, what was Mike Leggo doing letting Brooks Laich shove Gerber into the net with his stick to tie the game. Did Laich even touch the puck? He got credit for the goal but he put his stick right into the lower section of Gerber and shoved him into the net. What is that? Since when is spearing the goalie to score allowed? Gerber going a little crazy was expected, he didn't get the game misconduct for touching Leggo but for shooting the puck while three officials were discussing the play near the time keepers benc. All of this could have been avoided if Leggo my Eggo blew his whistle and said no goal, goaltender interference, face off outside. But no, he allowed the shoving/spearing of the goalie via Laichs stick into the net. Gerber is looking at a three game suspension, which means Cujo will get some extra playing time, and hey, Cujo was dynamite in relief, 9 for 9 on shots, PP for Washington in OT, and then 3 for 3 in the shootout. Nice save Cujo.
