The Cutler era is over in Denver. It was like the TV show Newsradio, it was short, it was good and never should have ended the way it did.
It's good that Cutler is gone sooner rather the later, now the distraction is gone and you work towards the new season.
The extra first round draft pick will come in handy as Denver puts the “D” back in Defence.
I like the trade from a Broncos stand point. Tough to argue with the two first round picks they got and Kyle Orton.
I don't think Orton lasts long as a Bronco, I bet he gets dealt at the draft and Denver signs Jeff Garcia for the season. Orton isn't a bad QB, he is mediocre, not showing off and not falling behind.
Heck, maybe Michael Vick QB's Denver in 2010. Oh wait it's April 2nd, not April 1st anymore.
I honestly think that McDaniels never liked Cutler and it was inevitbale that he was gone, it was just a matter of, for what?
Would you trade Cutler straight up for Cassel? or would you rather have Orton and two first round picks? I'll take Orton and the picks. So chalk up a check mark for McDaniels.
My question today is the same as yesterday's, what's The Coach going to do for a QB now?
