Billingsley’s Debut

Billingsley looks to pitch Dodgers to series win.

4th Year pitcher Chad Billingsley (16-10; 3.16) takes on the Padres at 7:05 pdt. Billinsley will have to have a solid year should the Dodgers make the post season. Chad is recovering from a broken leg suffered in the offseason.

Billingsley struck out 201 batters in just over 200 IP last year, good for 5th most in the NL

Chad won his first career playoff start, beating the Cubs in game 2.

Then lost two starts to the Phillies in the NLDS, game 2 and 5

Lost in last night's loss was the Dodger bullpen; 2 and 2/3 innings, 0 hits, 0 walks.

Rafael Furcal, leading off last night 4 AB, 3 K's.  Need more than that from the leadoff position.

Walter Silva makes his rookie debut tonight, a 32 year old rookie who not only made the team but cracked the starting rotation.
