Nine Wins in a row. Final Score? 9-0.
Eric Staal, 3 goals to put him at 39 for the season.
Cam Ward, 39 wins this season.
Am I missing anything?
In a game that can onl;y be described as completely and utterly dominating, The Hurricanes brought the pressure early and then sort of coasted to a win, putting the puck in the net repeatedly along the way.
While not much more needs to be said of the game (a 57-12 Shot differential will do that to you), it is definately good to see that the Hurricanes did not take this game for granted. They came out hard and put it out of reach quickly, rather than simply sitting back and taking the night off.
Regardless, 2 points is 2 points, and if nothing else this game will serve as an offensive confidence booster as we march towards the post-season where the Hurricanes look like the team nobody wants to play in the first round.
Until next time, Caniacs.
