New Years 2010

Posted By Jim Mulligan On Apr 9 2009 @ 10:02 pm In Boston Bruins | No Comments

Both the Boston Globe & Boston Herald are reporting the Bruins have been picked to play in next year's Winter Classic.

While the Herald is reporting the B's will play on Original Six team in Montreal or New York, the Globe is reporting the opponent will either be the Washington Capitals or the Philadelphia Flyers.

Personally, I'd like to see a Boston vs. Montreal game.

Realistically, it would be best for the NHL continue the Original Six theme and a Boston vs. New York matchup would be great. It would be a good way for the fans of the areas to continue to hate “all things New York” and vise versa. Plus, it would give the NHL the opportunity to have next year's game with the final two Original Six teams in Toronto and Montreal. That's just how I'd think if I were in the front office of the NHL.
