Losses like last night are always hard to stomach but the Rangers appear to be headed in the right direction. Matt Harrison looked average to below average once again, and the back of rotation needs some help. Scott Feldman is back in the rotation because of an injury to Kris Benson, which seems like the direction the team should have gone day one. Kinsler's bat remains on fire and you have to hope Hamilton, Davis and Saltalamacchia end their slumps. You have to feel for newcomer Darren O'Day in last nights game against the Jays. O'Day arrived in Toronto during the 8th inning and was driven to the game instead of the hotel. When he was needed in the bottom of the 10th with two runners on, he was forced to enter the game in a Kason Gabbard jersey. Despite giving up the game winning hit, O'Day should be a strong addition to the weak bullpen.
Texas has one more game in Toronto before heading to Baltimore for a four game set. If Texas can have a nice winning streak going when Oakland comes to town to kick off divisional play, it'd be a huge swing of momentum. Currently sitting in second place, two and a half games out of the division lead the Rangers appear to be treading water until they can get some help for the bullpen.
