Of Pucks and Playoffs

What a way to end the first round of the playoffs. Two game 7's, down to the wire. That's top notch as Judge Smails would say.
I'm sure Brodeur and friends are still wondering what happened. I think everybody in North America was prepping for OT and then boom goes the dynamite.
That's one shot Brodeur would like back. Obviously. With all due respect to Eric Staal, that's one that got away from #30.
You got to give kudos to Carolina. No road team in the history of game 7's has tied a game in the final 2 minutes and won the game period, let alone in regulation.
Carolina was hot coming into the playoffs. They'll need to keep the pilot light on if they're going to beat Boston.
World Championships update. James Neal is done for the tournament as a result of the eye injury he suffered yesterday. Canada can add two forwards. Jarome Iginla won't be one of them.
Canada added Vlasic from San Jose to fill out their defence.
If Joe Thornton were smart. He'd say yes to playing in the Worlds, he needs to put the playoffs behind him and show Steve Yzerman he's got some game in him.
Since Thornton joined San Jose, guess how many points he has in the deciding game in the four series in which the Sharks were ousted out of the playoffs? ZERO.
If you're Team Canada, do you add Sean Avery? as Bubbles said, “he can annoy a player in any language” Maybe he can get into the mind of Jaromir Jagr who Canada will see in the next round.
I'm just kidding, I wouldn't invite Avery. I'd invite Jeff Carter though if he hasn't turned down the invite already.
