According to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, Thomas Jones will end his hold out and will formally rejoin the team.
It's funny how a man acts when his options are limited.
Thomas Jones appears to have rethought his position to hold out for more money and should arrive at Jets camp sometime this week. His change of heart, though, probably has more to do with the fact that he has very little leverage despite his fantastic season last year.
The timing of this move, though, is a bit strange.
Rookie Shonn Greene suffered a pulled hamstring late last week. Though the team is saying that the injury is minor, Greene will likely be limited for a little while. With Leon Washington still holding out (though a new deal with him seems to be imminent), Jones could have the stage all to himself to show that he hasn't lost a step and is still the dedicated warrior the Jets need to lead their rushing attack.
