The Ottawa Senators and NY Rangers have had several talks today and seem to be the only serious team interested in Dany Heatley. GM Bryan Murray has asked for Scott Gomez but Glen Sather has said no.
I am told that Sather has offered Marc Staal and one of either Brandon Dubinsky or Ryan Callahan.
The Kings had offered Alex Frolov and to flip first round picks with the Senators.
The Rangers are also looking to move Wade Redden and the Toronto Maple Leafs have interest. If the Rangers can't move him, they will bury Redden in the AHL with their affiliate the Hartford Wolfpack.
More to come but I wanted to get this out there. I had the chance to talk to the Team 1200 and XM Radio about this earlier today and this rumour is picking up alot of steam.

I am told Murray might have no other choice than to take Sather's offer now!

I would rather try and work something out with LA. I think we would be a better team with Frolov, but he only has 1 year left on his contract and would be getting a pay increase. I think I'll puke if he takes Sathers offer…

Last thing we need is Heatley… Selfish hack who doesn't put in an honest effort each game…Besides, wouldn't it be better to offer Drury straight up? Or plus a pick or something? I can't see Sather being stupid enough to part with Marc Staal AND something else….

Mr. Murry needs to lighten up on the asking price. At this rate he will be a sen for the season. Unless that is what he really wants in the first place.
