Khalif Barnes, offensive tackle for the Oakland Raiders will be out for 6-8 weeks with a fracture in his ankle.
Barnes was supposed to push Mario Henderson for the starting left Tackle spot, but has been playing mostly on the second unit thus far in training camp.
Although this is not an earth shattering blow to the team, it doesn't help to have any offensive linemen get injured. This is expecially important when it is with a team that has struggled on the offensive line.
To help replace Barnes, the Raiders have signed OT Seth Wand. Wand played for the Raiders last year, and was released at the end of the season.
Other small injuries to note include, Nnamdi Asomugha, Jeff Garcia, and Isaiaha Ekejiuba. None of these injuries are serious, and they will continue to play through training camp.
