The Oakland Raiders have been in talks with the New England Patriots about a trade involving DE Derrick Burgess since before the 2009 draft, and they finally made it happen last night.
Burgess will go to New England for undisclosed draft considerations.
Burgess had two probowl seasons with the Raiders and he was in his final year with the team. He has been unhappy for the past three seasons about his contract, which was never changed.
I will have more, when the terms of this deal are released.
