The Washington Redskins Travel a mere 60 or so miles to Baltimore tonight to take on the Ravens in their first pre-season game. I have been scanning all channels on my Guide, even with the Sunday Ticket ordered, and still cannot get this game on TV. I am not impressed. Having to settle with audio only or watching the scores online is unacceptable!
This game will be the battle of the offense for the Redskins. According to redskins.com, all 4 QBs will play tonight (Jason Campbell, Todd Collins, Colt Brennan and Chase Daniel). Supposedly, Daniel adn Brennan are fighting for the 3rd spot, but I think Brennan should take over the 2nd spot and have Collins vs Daniel for 3rd. The other key position that is up in the air is the Wide Receiver. Draft picks Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly are healthy (ish) and are determined to give it their all. The offensive line has many changes, how will Portis' attitude be, just so much to look for.
The other player I really want to see in action is Brian Orakpo and how this new defense will handle the Raven's running game. Albert Haynesworth is out tonight to rest his knee, so he'll be sidelined.
Yes, this is only pre-season so the final score is not what really counts. I want to see a cohesiveness between players and coaching staff, protection for the quarterback and maybe one interception and I will be a Happy Redskin Fan. Not too much to ask for the first game eh?

I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s). My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher. Hail to the Redskins! See you October 30th in my home town of Toronto.
