The 6’6 guard/forward Quentin Richardson is packing again, this time it’s safe to unpack. Quentin Richardson was traded for the 4th center on the Heats roster, Mark Blount.
This is Richardson’s 4th team this summer; he started the summer off with the Knicks, then to the Grizzlies, Clippers, Wolves, and now Miami.
Regardless of how he got here, Quentin Richardson will bring his head-banging and instant offense off the bench for the Heat along with an expiring contract of $9.35 million.
This also is a great insurance pickup just in case the small forward transition doesn’t work out for Michael Beasley. Richardson and Dwyane Wade workout together every summer and are very good friends.
This is the first acquisition for the Heat this off-season.
