It’s not the loss, it’s the way they lost.

Uh oh.  Losing two out of three to Arizona not that big of a deal, however losing in the fashion they did on Saturday night is.

I am not worried about Friday night's loss, Clayton Kershaw had one bad inning, going to happen during the season.

Saturday night's loss though makes me worry.  Granted Jonathan Broxton was having such a great season, he only had one way to go it seems.  He has not been sharp, even in his save against the Giants, he gave up two hits and a home run. Broxton has 5 blown saves, 3 of them have come in the last 2.5 weeks.  Reason to worry, I think so.  The rest of the bullpen has not been sharp lately either, so the Dodgers really need Broxton to finish strong.

You cannot say he is being used to much, Torre has done a good job of only using Broxton mainly for one inning at a time.  His he hurt, is he going through a slump?  Has he lost velocity?  We'll shall see over the next week, the Dodgers are bound to be in some close games this week with the Cardinals and Cubs visiting Chavez Ravine.

The Dodgers obviously had some bad luck when Kuroda got hit with the line drive. He has been cleared to fly and was due to fly home with the team after yesterday's win.

Nice job by Torre mixing up the lineup on Sunday, batting Matt Kemp leadoff.  “The Bison” responded with two hits and two runs scored.  Also, he sure does look graceful playing center field, he sort of glides under the ball, I can watch that all day long.

The Dodgers will march out knuckleballer Charlie Haeger to the mound tonight, fresh from Triple-A,  should be interesting, the NL does not see any knuckleballers.  Haeger differs from Tim Wakefield in that he will not throw all knuckleballs.

Big thing for the Dodger fans, keep any eye on Broxton.  The Dodgers still have a comfortable 5 game lead, but without an effective closer, the lead would be in jeopardy.
