Schilens Hurt

Chaz Schilens went down tuesday during practice with a broken bone in his foot.
Schilens was by far the best receiver for the Raiders thus far this offseason, and looked to be the clear #1 wide out.
That is now all but gone, as he can miss 6-8 weeks recovering from this injury.
I would bet that Schilens will go on the PUP list, and be out for the first 4 games, which could severly hurt this offensive passing game, and put a huge damper on the start of the season that includes 3 divisional games.
On the other hand, it opens up the door for other wideouts that look to make the final roster. Guys like Nick Miller, Samie Parker, Will Franklin and Louis Murphy, who are looking for a roster spot, and have been impressive thus far, will have to keep pace to secure a chance at making the final 53.
One thing is for sure, our Raiders will be going into the 2009 season with several extra receivers to chose from, and JaMarcus Russell will really have to make some strides to get some w's at the start of the season, with Chaz Schilens and Javon Walker out.
