Like HIm or Not…He’s Back and He Does it All!

Look anywhere in sports and you will find a polarizing figure. The guy who some love, some hate, but either way there is some kind of an opinion about they guy in nearly every brain. Last year the jersey read “C. Johnson” but legal documents insisted he was to be called something else. The fans watched as number eighty-five dogged it, dropped passes and openly criticized the team in an effort to get out of town. This year, the jersey matches the legal documents but it's clear that his attitude has in fact changed. He has returned to his more playful self and up to this point he is attacking the game like the Chad of old.
The cameras of NFL Films love him as they sculpt HBO's “Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Cincinnati Bengals” and in preseason game number two, Chad Ochocinco came to the rescue after a long touchdown pass from backup quarterback J.T. O'sullivan to Chris Henry. Ochocinco was the answer to the question: “Who's going to kick the P.A.T?” That's right…kicker Shayne Graham was sidelined with a slight groin pull and it was punter Kevin Huber holding for Chad Ochocinco. He split the uprights like he'd done it a hundred times and announcer Paul Keels rightly lamented “He'll be a ball to live with now” as Chad slapped fives with nearly every player, coach, ball kid and security guard he could find. Playful, skillful and not the slightest bit camera shy. Yes indeed. He's back.
Full game report to follow. We couldn't resist an update after that P.A.T. At the half…Bengals 7, Pats 6
And yes…he's kicking off to begin the second half!
