The Dallas Cowboys entertain longtime rival San Francisco on Saturday night for only the 2nd game ever at the New Boys Stadium.
Dallas will look to focus on time of possession while using a balanced attack with the regular season fast approaching. The third game of the pre-season is always the one game in which the starters play more than half the game with many of them getting rest in the final pre-season game.
One main focus tomorrow night has to be discipline for the Cowboys after amassing 113 yards on 13 penalties last week. Regardless if it's the pre-season, you can't be having those kind of penalty totals.
With rookie LB Brandon gone for the season with torn knee ligaments, it will be interesting to see who steps up and grabs his roster spot on the defensive side.
Lastly, one point of interest off the field is the new stadium state of the art scoreboard. It will be interesting to see if the NFL forces owner Jerry Jones to heighten the massive scoreboard. If punters continue to have problems hitting the board, I am sure the NFL won't allow this to become a major issue once the regular season starts.
It is great to be back blogging and I look forward to seeing some productive new faces on the Cowboys roster this season.
As always, comments or questions are welcomed.
