Giants WRs Set to Shine Vs. Washington

The Redskins want to show off their new weapon, monstrous DT Albert Haynesworth. Plus rookie LB Brain Orakpo will be featured stuffing the run. So the Skins cram the box, Brandon Jacobs and company go nowhere, and Eli Manning rolls back and throws to….
Wait a second, just who exactly WILL Eli be throwing to on Sunday? If you read any story about the Giants wide receiving corps this offseason, more than likely it invoilved a dude shooting himself in the leg or a dude cathing a ball against his head in the Super Bowl and then getting cut. Then you realized neither dude actually plays for the Jints anymore.
Fear not, the Workingman's Guide to Giants Wide Receivers will tell all of you in Big Blue land who to support on Sunday.
RAMSES BARDEN Suggested nicknames: “Big Stretch” “The New Plaxico” “The Giants Version of Randy Moss”. As much as the Giants brass attempts to dispell the notion that Ramses is not a Plaxico replacement, I'm guessing the 6'6″ 227 lb Barden gets his first TD on Sunday, leaping up to slay a 5'10″ DB on a third down red zone reception. The Cal Poly product has delighted in camp and you know the Giants can't wait to unleash Ramses at a strategic moment Sunday.
STEVE SMITH Suggested nickname; “Alias” Not the Panther or the b-ball player, the third best Steve Smith in sports starred in the Super Bowl, progressed in 08 and then the only logical next step is a Pro Bowl 09 where he shares the field with his Name Buddy. The 5'11″ 195 lb Smith will be an all purpose receiver the Giants can utilize in posession as well as downfield situations.
DOMEINCK HIXON Suggested Nickname: “Hixville, NY” Much is expected of the Giants main deep threat…He could enjoy the spotlight on Sunday if the Redskins over-focus on the run.
MARIO MANNINGHAM Suggested nickname: “Wolverine Origins” Look for this Michigan grad's claws to come shooting out of his hands in Year 2 of his NFL career. A little shine from the rest of the receiving corps should open up some single coverage to allow Mario to make his name known this season.
HAKEEM NICKS: Suggested Nickname “Lil Heel” There ought to be plenty of opportunities for this UNC rookie to blend in on 3rd and long situations, don't be surprised to see Nicks get a chance to show his athleticism Sunday.
