Jets Secondary Ailing

Strickland and Sheppard both miss practice, may not play on Sunday

When you have to defend against Drew Brees and the high flying New Orleans passing game, it's important that you have every last man available to help.  It may only be Wednesday, but it looks like Gang Green might be a couple short.

Neither Donald Strickland nor Lito Sheppard has practicied this week and both may very possibly miss Sunday's contest.  The situation would leave second year man Dwight Lowery one-on-one defending New Orleans' explosive slot receiver Devery Henderson.

That's an important matchup that the Jets need to win because Brees is naturally well aware that New York's shutdown corner Darrelle Revis will be blanketing All-Pro receiver Marques Colston.  Therefore, he'll be looking for other options like Henderson, running back Reggie Bush and tight end Jeremy Shockey.
