Cowboys fall short against Denver
So what do I say? How do I start this week’s blog when I am utterly disappointed with not only my football knowledge but the Dallas Cowboys game yesterday.
Let me set the scenario: It is 1600, I am on the couch and it is first quarter in the Cowboys/Broncos game. WOW, the Cowboys are playing like a Super Bowl team moving the ball at will. Marion Barber is playing and looking great and quarterback Tony Romo is using his receivers and the Cowboys are up 10-0. The Cowboys hold time of possession and everything is looking great for Dallas Nation on a nice Sunday.
Well. isn’t that as far from the truth as one can get. The Cowboys showed zero emotion from the 2nd quarter to the end of the game. They could not move the ball on the ground, in the air and I apologize to the Denver Broncos for my post-game blog where I said they have no business even playing in this game. The Broncos showed up and the Dallas Cowboys did not. Outside of the 1st quarter I saw nothing positive from the Cowboys and I would not be surprised if Dallas head Coach tries to bring something new to the table in the likes of one Jon Kitna. I don’t know what came into the Cowboys but they could not move the ball at all. The Dallas defence did an alright job containing the Broncos but it was the Broncos who came out victorious.
It will be practise, practise, practise for the Cowboys this week and well I leave this as one of my shorter blogs, I am only hoping there is no turmoil in Dallas Nation. I love wide receiver Roy Williams and his blocking capability but he was brought in to catch footballs and so far he is just not doing that. The offence has to get back on track and it better be Romo or give Kitna a chance. What other options are there? Please do let me know if you know any.
This game has Dallas written all over it and the Cowboys just blew what should have been and I will say it again an easy victory. Two different Dallas Cowboys took the field on Sunday, one in the 1st quarter and a totally different team from the 2nd quarter on.
I still will say have no fear Dallas Nation as I am one to be optimistic and well I now do not have a blender, I hope to not bet much this weekend on the Cowboys as now I clearly do not know what Dallas team will show up. One thing the Dallas Cowboys have is ‘faithful’ fans and they will back the Cowboys through thick and thin but week-5 will be a biggee….
See ya’all later in the week and remember: Don’t bet the blender.
