Falcons fly in to take on the 49ers

First off, I apologize for my recent inactivity here it won't happen again as I have had hockey, school and college applications to sign for. Anyway after destroying the Rams last week after an unfortunate break against the Vikings where Favre got very lucky, the 49ers will enter Atlanta. This will be a test for them as they go up against Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons

The 49ers defense was stellar last week against St. Louis as they managed to hold onto a shutout and held the Rams to just 177 yards of total offense. There were many questions regarding how the teams rushing game would be without Frank Gore, but rookie Glenn Coffee did just fine as he picked up 74 yards. It looks like the team will have to hope for more of the best case scenario this week as Gore will be out again and Coffee will ge the nod to start at tailback. I think it will be an interesting matchup between the Falcons linebackers and the San Francisco running attack without Frank Gore for a second consecutive week. The  Falcons took their first loss of the season to the Patriots in their first away game effort.

Falcons Qb Matt Ryan will have to be much more effective against the San Francisco defense, as they have been very solid all season and the secondary has been a good unit aside from some breakdowns they had (ex: the last play to the Vikings game they were exposed). On the other end of things, 49ers QB Shaun Hill had a great game against the Rams but will have to prove more against a better defense in the Falcons as they easily penetrated the Rams. With the addition of Michael Crabtree (who will not play in this game) will help the team greatly once he plays prior to the teams Bye week. The 49ers fans rejoiced as they finally got their first round pick to sign for six years. For now, we will see if Brandon Jones will be able to get more playing time as he only played one quarter for the Niners last week in his first game following his dislocated shoulder. It will be an interesting battle, the 49ers look like they could be the favorite to win the division and they will have to prove they can run with the elites when they host the Falcons at home
