The Runnin’ Ya Mouf Review

Posted By Lea Anderson On Oct 11 2009 @ 2:32 am In Baltimore Ravens | No Comments

Remember when your mother used to tell you to stop running your mouth before she put a back hand to you?  Or when your coach used to tell you to shut your trap and play the game?  It is a firm belief that Cincinnati Bengal WR Chad Ochocinco never got backhanded by anyone in authority back in the day, hence, why an a**whoopin' is necessary when the Bengals come to The Nest on Sunday.

The Bengals roll into the game with a 3-1 record and the winner will run the Corner, AFC North, in first place.  While the great start by the Bengals is to be commended, the biggest success for the orange striped ones is that they dropped their theme song “Cruel Summer” (80's classic by the Bangles) by managing to stay off of the Cincinnati PD blotter without being filmed for MSBC's Lockdown: Cincinnati Penitentiary Bengals.

The pressure for the Ravens defense will come again for their secondary.  CB Domonique Foxworth will have to rebound from a subpar performance against one of the game's great receivers, Randy Moss.  Foxworth was called out and added to Ochocinco's checklist, but Matty (Greg Mattison) will definitely mix it up with CB Fabian Washington in different coverage schemes.  However, Carson Palmer's new favorite target, WR Chris Henry, will also be on the prowl in third down situations.  This will be a game for the Ravens secondary to protect the stash and yardage gains.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Tubbies on the Line will be moved around to make up for injured LT Jared Gaither who may be out with a neck.  Rookie RT Michael Oben, who is on the rookie of the year radar, will move to the left while Marshal Yanda will be making his first start.  With a new look, The Tubbies will be pressured to contain Bengals DE Antwan Odom who has been laying out quarterbacks and leading the League with 8 sacks.

While the hype behind this game was set when Ochocinco opened his mouth, the Ravens will show the Bengals that they are still not ready to hold the Corner in the AFC North.
