CB Carlos Rogers spoke to the media this week and expressed his frustration over the team's inability to win and actually mentioned Daniel Snyder, owner of the Washington Redskins, as the starting point. Since Snyder purchased this team, there has been so many changes made, in both coaching and players, that the team is never given a chance at all. The Washington Redskins is the 2nd richest club in all of the NFL, yet have not won a superbowl since '92.
Jimmy Johnson expressed it best this passed Sunday. “Realize that a great 53-man roster is what wins championships, not five or six high-priced stars. Dan Snyder builds his team like its fantasy football and that's a big negative. The Redskins need a GM who can prevent Snyder from making decisions while letting Snyder think he's involved. Who can work that magic? I don't know.”
What do you think? Is it the players, the coaches, or the owner?
About the Author
Written by Mercedes Green
I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s). My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher. Hail to the Redskins! See you October 30th in my home town of Toronto.
