Canes Look for Solid Ground in Colorado

Eight games into the season, the Carolina Hurricanes are still trying to get it going having now lost four games in a row.
The Canes now face a surprisingly strong foe in the Colorado Avalanche, a team most predicted would be among the bottom teams in the league, who are currently situated at #1 in the Western Conference.
Things To Look For:
1) Cam Ward needs to rebound after a mediocre night against the Islanders.
2) Get the offense going. The Hurricanes have looked terrible of late, and need to really pick up the pace in order to have any success at all.
3) Eric (bleep)ing Staal needs to get going or get benched. Yes, he picked up a couple points last game, but he has been absolutely abysmal thus far.
If the Canes Win:
A win tonight would be huge for the Canes, giving them some confidence. A win tonight, and suddenly things don't look so bad…
If the Canes Lose:
Heads will roll. For a team with this much promise, a 2-5-2 start is absolutely unacceptable. Look for J.R. to bring up Boychuk and Sutter should the team continue to lack any punch.
The Carolina Hurricanes have NEVER (yes, NEVER) won a game, let alone got a point, in Colorado. Time to make history.
