This Sunday the San Francisco 49ers (3-3) will travel into Lucas Oil Stadium to take on the undefeated Indianapolis Colts (6-0). A lot of people will probably look at this matchup and think nothing of it, but everybody please be aware, this matchup has trap game written all over it. I believe that the following elements need to be present in order for a trap game to occur:
3. 85 to 95 percent of the people/analysts need to pick the team with the better record and better talent.
1. One team needs to be struggling but yet talented.
The San Francisco 49ers started out the season 3-1 but are now 3-3, Running back Frank Gore should be back at 100% and quarterback Alex Smith looked great in relief last week against Houston.
4. There is an important game on the horizon for the superior team that might cause them to overlook the underdog.
After the 49ers, in come the newly energized and hot New England Patriots, off of a bye week.
