Ginn, Fins sink Jets 30-25

Sanchez's three touchdowns not enough to lead Gang Green back against Miami
The Miami Dolphins have given the Jets fits this season. Even so, I have no doubts that, one day, Gang Green will escape the Dolphins' mastery of them and emerge victorious.
Today, however, was not that day.
Ted Ginn Jr. ran back two kickoff returns for touchdowns and the Dolphins defense held back a late rally by Mark Sanchez and Company to defeat the Jets 30-25 at the Meadowlands on Sunday.
Sanchez struggled early on, but he gave everything he had in a losing effort. He threw touchdowns to tight end Dustin Keller and wide receiver Braylon Edwards and ran for his own score. The 258 passing yards he accumulated represents the second best game total in his young career.
Unfortuantely, it wasn't enough to beat an amped up Miami defense who sacked Sanchez twice and scored when Jason Taylor returned a Shonn Greene fumble 48 yards in the third quarter. The unit was playing with two rookie cornerbacks who acquitted themselves well.
The Jets now head into their bye week sporting a 4-4 record, something that few anticipated after such a hot start. Hopefully, with a favorable second half schedule that includes favorable matchups against Jacksonville, Buffalo and Tampa Bay, they'll be able to right the ship.
Then, maybe that ship can go chase down some Dolphins.
