Dallas burns Seattle
Dallas Cowboys came out of Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks with a pretty convincing 38-17 win. This puts the Cowboys at 5-2 so far this season.
I will not bloat on the victory as Dallas won a game they really should of.
All cylinders were running on Sunday as Romo hit 10 different receivers in what all of Cowboy Nation hopes is Romo seeing the ‘whole’ field a lot better and not throwing up the ‘lets hope a Cowboy comes down with the ball’ throws. If this type of play continues and Romo continues to show maturity than the Cowboys maybe they are over the hump for some solid football heading into the 2nd half of the
The defense played well with 3 sacks, a forced fumble. Newly extended contract linebacker DeMarcus Ware had one of those sacks giving him 5 on the season so far. The defense held Seattle to 79 rushing yards which is a great stat although Seattle did gain 229 yards through the air. All in all a nice turn-out by the Dallas defense which also allowed Dallas to hold onto the ball 34:45 minutes of the game.
The Dallas running game was there but again what happened to the Cowboys rushing for those 100 yard games?. (comment here) I will take the win but as per my pre-game blog, I was saying it is really important for the Cowboys to get back on track with the running game but the win is the win and will take that over a great running game. If the Cowboys are going to head to the post-season the running game will have to be a big part of any post-season success but I am getting a little ahead of myself. Dallas only had 113 yards on the ground on Sunday.
Special teams, Patrick Crayton 82 yard punt return for a TD, his 2nd in as many
games. Run Patrick Run…..
Dallas at 5-2 will now head to Philly to play the 5-2 Eagles on Sunday night football which could very well separate the men from the ‘Boys’. See ya’all later in the week to talk about that. It should be an interesting one so stay tuned.
Lots to talk about – comments / questions / concerns – looking forward to it!!!!!
