Having read your piece, I watched Stamkos more so than I normally would watch one player.Your assessment of Stamkos is dead on. He had a tough night defensively (was abused by Patrice Bergeron on one goal in particular) but overall he was solid and argueably their best forward. Stamkos is emerging as a top-level talent in the NHL, and needs to get into the Olympics sooner rather than later, if only to garner more experience. Let's face it, with 4 years in between these things, it's not like any given player will have an extremely long shelf-life in terms of gaining experience in the Olympics, so why not put him in ahead of Lecavalier or someone who isn't playing up to their normal level in the NHL?GO CZECHS!
