Payback on the Corner

I'm mad!! I want revenge, I want revenge (the big payback!!) I want revenge.
- “The Payback,” James Brown

Nothing like a James Brown tune to get us in the groove for the Raven's showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals.  The Raven leave the Nest this week for revenge in their week 6 loss at home to the kitties.  Let's peep Brown's lyric skills to preview this battle on the block:

You handed me down, and that's a fact
Bengals RB Cedric Benson ran with like a Mack truck over and under the Ravens D for 120 yards rushing, ending their streak of holding opponents to less than a 100 yards.  The Ravens D depends on their ability to stop Benson's lawn mower legs and not allow him to get into the open field.  Containment is key.

Let me hit 'em, hit'em!!  Hey Hey!! WOOOOOOOOOOO!
Both Domonique Foxworth and Fabian Washington caught fire for their lack of play defending the deep ball but was vastly improved against the Broncos.  Bengals QB Carson Palmer has proven that he is back in top form and has been quite successful against the Ravens D.  Palmer is going to test the secondary with WR's Ochocinco and Chris Henry, and the secondary will have to be pop-locking – that is poppin' receivers and lockin' up tackles.

Give me those hits!! I want some hits!! I need those hits, hit me!!
Matty (defensive coordinator Greg Mattison) is going to have to find a way to put the pressure on Palmer.  DE Terrell Suggs needs to have his name called and must out layout Palmer, put him in hurried and collapsing pocket situations. Hit 'em like he stole somethin'.

The brother get ready!! Thats a fact!!
QB Joe Flacco has proven his is ready to have his star shine brightly in his sophmore campaign.  Flacco not only manages the game but he can put the offense on his back, or shall we say arm, to win. Flacco's arm and tap dancing moves outside the pocket will be paramount to putting points on the board.

I don't know karate, but I know KA-RAZY!!!! (yes we do!!)
RB Ray Rice is fast becoming CC's (offensive coordinator Cam Cameron) main dude.  HC Jim Harbaugh has nothing but praise for Rice and even stated that he was surprised with how good Rice is in blocking and receiving.  Rice may not know karate but his ka-razy skill set to make plays in both the rushing and passing game opens up the offense for WR's Mark Clayton and Derrick Mason.

The Corner (AFC North) is up for grabs this Sunday with the 3 top teams playing in key matchups.  The Ravens want payback for their last minute loss to the Bengals and they need to gain ground in the battle for Corner supremacy.  Revenge is on the minds of the Ravens, so let's hear James Brown sing it proudly:

Got to get back! Need some get back!! Pay Back! (the big payback)
That's it!! Payback!!! Revenge!!!
