The Redskins are spiralling down into the pits of the NFL. Not winning games is only a small part of their problem. Ownership, coaching, team morale, injuries, offense, you name it; they all need fixing.
The 6-2 Broncos travel to DC for the 1PM game on Sunday. The only thing the Redskins really have going for them is their #1 pass defence against Denver's #16 ranked passing offense. The Skins rushing D is dwindling down to #23, but the Broncos are not much ahead at 18th. If the Redskins only had a passing game, we might have something to fight with.
Here's how the offenses compare.
The injuries for the Redskins are immense. RB Clinton Portis is out with a concussion and their only good substitute is Ladell Betts, but he did not practice this week. TE Chris Cooley is out for a few more weeks and offensive T Mike Williams, who was playing for another injured Redskin, is also out. S Chris Horton has been placed on injury reserve, so he's out.
I think a win is highly doubtful and maybe the whole team should be put on reserve until next year? Come on Skins! Hail!!!!!
About the Author
Written by Mercedes Green
I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s). My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher. Hail to the Redskins! See you October 30th in my home town of Toronto.
