The Ravens tumble into their 9th contest of the season with playoffs fully in focus. The Ravens leave the next a battle against the JV Cleveland Browns for Monday Night Football.
The secondary woes have proved to be the weak link, ball and chain, and big play donator of the Ravens defense. It goes without being said that the Ravens will only go as far as the secondary can defend. Tonight's game will not be practice for the Ravens, but will be a focused contest on righting the ship. It is easy to look ahead to next week's game when Bert (Peyton Manning) comes to town, but the Ravens must lay the foundation tonight to keep pace with a crowded contender's playoff list.
The Browns are ripe for the Ravens to right their ship with inept Eric Mangini coaching, the ownership flailing and the team in a quandary every week on who is their starting quarterback. Their management payroll is a symbol of AIG's in that they have so many folks getting' checks that are no longer with the team that they might need a bailout. It's a circus in Cleveland and every fan should just hike over to see the Cavs and LeBron James.
Is there even a need for a preview? QB Brady Quinn will start wondering how fast his house is going to sell. Then QB Derek Anderson will struggle to complete passes. LT Joe Thomas (one of the best in the game) will start to wonder “Am I protecting Jay Cutlers' twin brothers back there?” Mangini will look constipated and the creative agency for Coors Light and/or Imodium AD will begin making commercials for the Super Bowl. The nature of it all is that this team is “GAW-BAGE.” Bow-wow Brown's fans, Bow-Wow.
