Final score 24-7 for the now 8-3 Dallas Cowboys. Well it wasn' a run-away victory; it was a sweet victory to put the Cowboys coupled with the Giants loss last night 2 games ahead of the New York ‘football’ Giants.
It was big play Cowboys yesterday on American Thanksgiving. Dallas had 5 plays of 40+ yards and 8 plays of at least 25 yards. Not bad for the Dallas offence which had 494 total yards.
Okay, you say 494 yards on offence and only 24 points to show for it. I thought the same thing which is why this game was potentially closer than the score shows. Oakland was only a couple penalties, TD’s instead of FG’s away from keeping this game a lot closer than it actually was.
Banged up Dallas tight end Jason Witten had 107 of those yards well wide receiver Miles Austin had 145 yards receiving along with two TD’s. hummm, why did he say two TD’s? Well was the first one a TD? Your thoughts are encouraged on that when Austin landed on the Raider defender and went into the end zone for the TD. Austin eventually ended up with a TD so hence why I say two TD’s. Roy Williams had the other Dallas TD. I want to add that Romo and Austin are gelling in what could be perfect timing.
Dallas ran the ball well with all three of the running backs going over 60 rushing yards. Barber, Jones and Choice are their names and rushing is their game.
–attendance was listed at 83,000+
–Time of possession was just on the side of the Cowboys
–nothing gets easy for the Cowboys as they head to Giants stadium to play the New York ‘football’ Giants who are having their share of trouble.
