Dallas loses critical NFC East clash with rival Giants
I'm not sure where to start this post-game blog. The Cowboys should have walked into Giants Stadium and had this game all but won. However, a failure to execute just about anything led to the 31-24 loss.
Seemingly, the Cowboys played well enough to win this game. So, why didn't they then? Well, Nick Folk's kicking woes were certainly problematic. Dallas' inability to avoid crucial turnovers was not present, either. How about all the missed tackling? I played high school football and know that missed tackles sometimes happen. However, no professional football team should have it happen to them as often as the Cowboys did yesterday.
They couldn't run the ball well at all, something that other teams have been able to utilize to great success against New York. Instead, they depended on Tony Romo's arm and, while the quarterback did a nice job, it still wasn't enough to seal this important victory.
With both the Giants and the Eagles winning yesterday, the Cowboys now face a huge pressure situation game against San Diego this week. The defense needs to tighten up in a hurry if they're going to shut down Phillip Rivers, Vincent Jackson and the rest of the Chargers.
Hopefully, the 'Boys will use this week to regroup and get ready for the task at hand. This blogger still has faith.
For those who watched this game, you surely must have something to say, so let's hear from you!
