Dolphins Get it Done, Beat Jags to Stay in the Hunt

The Miami Dolphins dominated the Jacksonville Jaguars, despite what the final 14-10 score illusively showed, as the Phins break .500 for the first time this season.
Miami started out hot, just what they needed to accomplish on the road. The Dolphins took control, producing a 14-0 lead to start the ball game, as Ricky Williams and Chad Henne scored with command. Jacksonville, a potential playoff contender, battled back and scored a touchdown before the half, making it a seemingly close game. Despite the halftime score, Miami was already dominated the game statistically, owning Jacksonville right out of the gate.
Miami attempted to add another three points to their lead early in the third quarter, but Dan Carpenter boinked it off the crossbar, leaving Jacksonville a chance to keep it close. The following drive, they did just that, tacking on a field goal after a 63-yard reception to Torry Holt. But those ended up being the last points that the Jags would score, thanks to a lights out performance by the Miami defense.
Despite a Ricky Williams fumble and a Chad Henne interception, giving Jacksonville a chance to get back in the ball game, Miami's defense answered with dominance, forcing two failed fourth down conversions by the Jags. Miami held tough defensively and helped the Dolphins defeat a potential playoff contender. With this win on the road, Miami is not only a playoff candidate, but they sit just one game behind the Pats in the AFC East.
Chad Henne has been playing with a confident demeanor, leading the Phins to win after win since his succession of Chad Pennington. After starting out the season 0-3, Miami has rebounded to win seven of ten games, bringing them right into the playoff picture. Despite a couple tough games left on their schedule, Miami has proven time and time again that they can compete with the best of the best.
The Dolphins have become the team that nobody wants to play. The defense is getting better each game as their younger players continue to develop, and each game Henne gets underneath his belt only helps the offense. With Ricky Williams carrying the load as the full time back, Miami has all of the tools in the shed to get the job done. But all of the pressure will ultimately rely on Chad Henne staying focused and proving to Miami that he is the quarterback that can bring them another Championship. Considering that the Super Bowl will be played in Miami, fate just might be on his and Miami's side.
