Playoffs on the Line at Heinz

With the playoffs looming in the not so distance future, the Ravens leave the Nest to visit their most hated rivals in Pittsburgh.  Both teams have an opportunity to make the playoffs, with the Ravens controlling their own destiny and the Steelers needing the government equivalent of a TARP bailout.

Although the Steelers have struggled losing five of their last six games, a rivalry is a cure to any teams' woes.  But the play of the Steeler secondary has sorrily missed its centerpiece, Troy Polamahu, who has been out with a knee for several weeks.  It would be wise for QB Joe Flacco to expose the secondary with quick release plays so that he will evade Dick LeBeau's creative blitz packages with the James (Harrison and Farrior) coming off the edges.

Biggin' QB Ben Roethlisberger missed the first encounter of the season, but best believe he will test the Ravens secondary that has been as up and down as the Dow and S&P this year.  The Ravens are going to have to keep a tight cap on the pocket and pressure their o-line that has struggled all season to keep Biggin' Ben upright.  Biggin' Ben has a knack for making plays out of the pocket so it's best to take him down and lay him out when possible.

The X-factor in this game will be the coaches – Mike Tomlin (Omar Epps) and John Harbaugh.  Last week, Tomlin may have made his first major hiccup call with the onside kick call in last week's GB Packers game.  While the play was unexpected, it was suspect.  This game will come down to play calling and possibly the guts to make the call to win the game and put your team in the playoffs.  Either way, someone is coming out with ketchup stains of a loss from Heinz Field
