Nine. Really? Nine!

Stop me if you have heard this before… Flames outplay thier opposition but come up on the short end of the scoreboard.

Ya I've said and or heard it five or six times in the last nine games. And that has resulted in a whopping zero wins in those nine games.

You can really read my last two blogs since this game was pretty much the same only I thought the Flames pretty much dominated play for almost the entire game.

Think Tyson Nash is getting sick of answering questions about how the Coyotes came out of nowhere? And telling us all about the wonderful job that Dave Tippett has done with the team? When Charlie Simmer interviewed him during the 2nd intermission of the Flames PPV you could see that 'If I had a nickle everytime someone asked me' look.

Giordano scored an absolute beauty to get the Flames back in the game making Jovocop look terrible in the process. Hey Team Canada here is your injury replacement! Mikael Backlund scored his first ever NHL goal tying the game at two in the third period. Beauty little wrister beating Bryzgalov on the blocker side.

Bryzgalov was the best Coyotes player on the ice and made a few great saves along the way to keep the Flames in check. Shane Doan also had a good game and scored the second Coyotes goal catching Miikka Kiprusoff sleeping a little bit tucking it short side past the blocker.

Generally on a road trip if you come back .500 you are content with it. Unfortunately the Flames should have had 4 points on this trip and only came home with 2. This team needs to find a way to generate scoring chances if they intend on making the playoffs or winning another game this season.

Up next for the Flames is the Oilers on Hockey Day in Canada, which has a team that has lost 9 straight in the Flames against the Oilers who haven't won in this decade. You have to think that one should end 9-8 in a shootout.

Have a good one!
