Here is a look at the Columbus Blue Jackets at this years trade deadline. Here is a list of who they might trade and some possible destinations.
Raffi Torres,LW 28 years old is in the final year of his contract and he is most likely to get moved at the deadline. Torres who has 16 goals this year with 10 assist for 26 points and is one of the Jackets best power play players while leading the team in power play goals. A possiable destination is Pittsburgh.
Milan Jurcina, D 26 and is a big guy at 6'4 know as a defenceman. He has a right shot and he can shot the puck while possessing a very hard shot from the point. He is also a free agent at the end of the year. In 39 games this year Jurcina has no goals and 5 assist with a plus 1 plus minus rating.
Fredrick Modin, LW 35 years old has had injurie trouble the past couple of years but he is a pretty big guy at 6'4. He is very good on the boards and is a good defensive player. He is also a veteran and a good leader in the locker rooom. He is also in the final year of his contract and has a no trade clause. In 20 games this year he has 2 goals and 2 assist.
R.J Umberger C/LW/RW 27 and is known as one of the Jackets most hard working players and provides leadership, heart and scoring. I dont know why I am hearing rumors about him being moved but as I read in the Columbus Dispatch there is a chance that he could be traded to Pittsburgh. Columbus would be absolutely stupid to trade Umberger. Umberger who is from Pittsburgh has 18 goals and 20 assist in 57 games.
Do you think the Jackets will be sellers or buyers come March 3rd at the deadline?
