Sparano Coaches Tebow in Senior Bowl

The head coach of the Dolphins received an opportunity to work with new defensive coordinator, Mike Nolan, as both coached the South team in the Senior Bowl.
Tony Sparano and new defensive coordinator Mike Nolan received a first hand opportunity to evaluate and coach potential NFL players in the 2010 Senior Bowl. Tim Tebow was the star of the show and impressed Sparano with his work ethic and learning capability. Considering that Miami runs the Wildcat, Tebow could be on their radar come draft time. Sparano also seemed to like the talented Dexter McCluster.
Tebow did have two fumbles in the game and did not look tremendously impressive, but Sparano seemed to really like the soon to be NFL player. McCluster is an all around player who could help out Miami as a running back, wide receiver, and special teams player.
Though Sparano and Nolan lost the game badly to the North squad, 31-13, the time spent with the possible draft picks will help their decision making come April when deciding who to choose. Tebow stands out to the Dolphins more than other players strictly due to his Wildcat potential.
Yeremiah Bell and Dan Carpenter represented the Dolphins in the Pro Bowl this year. Carpenter hit two of three field goal attempts and also made all five of his extra point conversions. Carpenter scored eleven of the AFC's 41 points during their victory.
