Flyers/Oilers Preview

Posted By Mike Santa Barbara On Feb 3 2010 @ 5:37 pm In Philadelphia Flyers | 6 Comments

Coming off of a 3-0 victory over the Calgary Flames the Flyers go onto to face the Edmonton Oilers Tonight. The win over the Flames was said by many players to be the most complete 60 minutes of Hockey the team has played all season long.

And yes, the Flames were going through some internal struggles having a handful of players on the ice that night who knew they were to be traded. However, if you watched the game one would realize that the Flames were actually trying. The Flyers defense played a nearly flawless game, Emery only had to make 18 saves. The Flyers offense did everything right, every line was a fore checking machine and pucks got in deep all night long.

They hope to continue that trend Tonight.

Ray Emery will get the start in goal. Lines are below:

Gagne – Richards – Hartnell
Powe – Carter – Briere
JVR – Giroux – Asham
Carcillo – Betts – Laperriere

Carle – Pronger
Krajicek – Timonen
Coburn – Bartulis
