Brendan Morrow was the only player to beat Marty Turco tonight as the Flames lose 3-1 and continue on with this train wreck of an offense. That was a nice present for Iginla's party Brendan. Thanks!
First off Daymond Langkow and Jarome Iginla were honored for their 1000th games played, and it pretty much went all down hill from there.
Ok stop me if this sounds familiar. A) Flames outplay and outchance opposition. B) Opposing teams goaltender stands on his melon. C) Kiprusoff plays well and is the hard luck loser.
It's amazing that the Flames are still in a playoff spot. I honestly now would not be shocked if Darryl Sutter makes another drastic change via the trade route. It is sad that since their arrival the new forwards on the Flames have been their best players.
Nik Hagman is sure fighting through what looks like a stinger to me. If you have never had a stinger… they suck. Not enough to keep you from playing but enough to affect your game and hurt like a son of a gun. Speaking of injuries it's great to see Mike Ribeiro back even though he killed us tonight. (2G-1A)
The NHL's Olympic trade deadline is tomorrow. I can't wait to see what happens. Note to the rest of the NHL Marty Turco can still play.
Have a good one!
