The Sixers lost to the Chicago Bulls Saturday night , and if you’re counting at home, the 76ers have now lost 15 of their last 19 games. That possible draft position is improving by the day.
Derrick Rose returned to the Bulls Saturday night, after missing four games due to injury. They certainly needed him, the Bulls had lost ten straight heading into Saturday nights contest. The Bulls still have playoff potential, so turning around a ten game losing streak was a must. And no better opponent to turn things around for your team than the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Sixers shot lousy all night long, forcing Eddie Jordan to eventually bench the majority of his starting line-up.
After claiming he was going to continue playing his regular rotation, Eddie Jordan finally played some of the young guys Saturday night. With Jason Smith, Jrue Holiday, and Maressee Speights getting legit playing time.
It’s certainly time to give these young guys an opportunity to play. Guys like Iguodala and Brand playing the majority of games isn’t beneficial in the least to this team now. They need to find out what they have from some of these young guys. In no way should this team be “mailing” it in, the time for rebuilding is now. Wasting any time is inexcusable. Sure their isn’t much you can do at this point, but you certainly can evaluate your young talent.
12 games and counting, until this miserable and forgettable season is over. Here’s hoping the Sixers lose all 12.
