As if things couldn’t get worse for the Flyers, they were blindsided by the news that their leading scorer Jeff Carter will be out for 3-4 weeks. Carter will be out until at least the 1st round of the playoffs with a broken bone in his ankle non-displaced fracture in his foot.
Carter blocked a shot from Atlanta’s Clarke MacArthur during the 1st period of last nights 3-1 loss to the Thrashers.
The Flyers are tied for 5th in the East but have lost 4 of their last 5 games.
The Flyers have struggled to score goals as of late, the task to continue their playoff push now becomes even harder with the loss of Carter.
