No Bynum, No Problem

The world felt like it was coming to an end for a moment Friday night when Andrew Bynum got hurt and strained his achilles’ tendon. But then everyone woke up and realized ‘Been there, done that’.
Bynum being hurt is not new to the Lakers; it’s pretty much become a yearly routine for the young center.
In the last two seasons Bynum has missed a total of 85 games, which is practically a whole year’s worth of missed games because of injury.
Despite the nonexistence of Bynum in the 07-08 season, the Lakeshow still managed to go all the way to the finals. Last year, the playboy mansion party boy came back in the playoffs but was of no use because he was so out of shape and they won the championship.
End of the day, Bynum being hurt is not a big deal for the Lakers.
The Lakers have now won seven straight games and look like they haven’t missed a beat since Bynum has been gone.
Lamar Odom has replaced Bynum in the starting line-up and surprisingly stepped up, as he finally played up to his potential last night against the Spurs with 19 points and 13 rebounds.
Pau Gasol aka the Western Conference Player of the Week also has contributed big with two double-doubles in the two games Bynum has been out.
And Kobe is Kobe, no need to worry about him. He always finds a way to get the job done. That’s exactly what Kobe and the Lakers will do: continue to get W’s while Bynum is on the bench being their cheerleader.
