The St. Louis Blues passed away in their sleep at 12:46am Wednesday morning in their hotel rooms in the city of Chicago. The self-induced comatose state of malignant third period blow-its that plagued the team since the first week of October 2009 took its toll so harshly that they had lost their ability to recover by their own means. They stood for hard work, strong penalty killing, adversity, and an enthusiastic youth movement. The Blues breathed their last breaths without the aid of sticks in their hands and skates on their feet. The Blues leave behind Paul Kariya, Keith Tkachuk, (hopefully) Eric Brewer, Andy Murray, and Daryl Sydor. Services will be held this Friday April 9 at their home at 1401 Clark st in downtown St. Louis.
