Braves Battle in the Bay

After taking 2 out of 3 in their opening home stand hot-lanta travels west to battle the undefeated San Francisco Giants. Taking the hill for Atlanta is veteran right hander Tim Hudson who is returning to the bay area for the first time since being traded from Oakland. The 35 year old hurler is coming back from Tommy John surgery that kept him out of all but 7 games a season ago. Hudson was quoted saying ” I feel like I have better stuff than before the surgery”. This is fantastic news because without Hudson at 100% the Braves rotation could really take a hit. Anyone who has ever followed Tim Hudson knows what he is capable of, and trust me Hudson will not disappoint.

One negative that struck the Braves clubhouse came in the 3rd game against the Cubs. Chipper Jones lef the game with pain in his side. Jones is listed as day to day. With Jones being out normal 2nd baseman Martin Prado will move to 3rd base, and Omar Infante taking over at 2nd.

The only thing in world that could possibly slow down this Atlanta Braves season is being plagued by injuries. There is nothing sadder in life than wasted talent. Just ask the 2009 Mets!  There is my first real cheap shot of the 2010 season, but who better to pick on than the Yankees ugly younger sister?
