Draft Lottery results are in – Oilers will have the #1 Pick

The NHL draft lottery took place tonight, and for the third year in a row, the team with the worst regular season record was awarded the #1 pick. This year, that team happens to be the Edmonton Oilers, who will likely use the pick to select Taylor Hall of the Windsor Spitfires or Tyler Seguin of the Plymouth Whalers. The 2010 draft will take place on Friday, June 25 in LA.

Here is the current order for the 2010 NHL Draft. As teams get eliminated from the playoffs, the final 16 draft slots will be filled.
1 – Edmonton Oilers
2 – Boston Bruins (acquired from Toronto)
3 – Florida Panthers
4 – Columbus Blue Jackets
5 – New York Islanders
6 – Tampa Bay Lightning
7 – Carolina Hurricanes
8 – Atlanta Thrashers
9 – Minnesota Wild
10 – New York Rangers
11 – Dallas Stars
12 – Anaheim Ducks
13 – Phoenix Coyotes (acquired from Calgary)
14 – St. Louis Blues
