Credit Where Credits Due

As much as I wish the N0-Hitter was in favor of the Braves I have to give credit where credit is due. Ubaldo Jimenez tossed the first No-Hitter in Colorado Rockies history last night at Turner field in Atlanta. Jimenez went the distance walking 6, and striking out 7 in his No-Hit masterpiece. The great thing about baseball is that it doesn’t matter if you are home, or away the crowd respects the game enough to know when history is in the making. Turner field went into a complete uproar last night cheering Ubado Jimenez on to finish his work of art. More than any other sport, baseball is about respect, character, and making history. Last night surely didn’t disappoint as the record books were stamped. Jimenez also out hit Atlanta by himself contributing with an RBI single.
I am absolutely stoked for the young Colorado pitcher. That was one of the most gutsy performances I have ever witnessed against an elite Atlanta offensive lineup. Even if it was only for a few hours I found myself a Rockies fan. I would take a no-hitter, perfect game, cycle, triple play, or any other record breaking performance over a win any day of the week. It’s history that makes this game great, and it’s always changing. Congrats Ubaldo!
